FROM CO-CHAIRMAN'S DESK
Walding down all the way through the remembrance streets of Bangladesh Medical College days, I judge it my privilege and admiration to be allied with it since its inauguration. It also gives me deep happiness to realize that the endeavor and hard slog done in honesty and earnestly in the making of this medical college and the Banlgadesh Medical Studies and Research Institute (BMSRI) has made some extent of impact al the national level and such realization is gratifying at the end of the day.
College is given guidelines by a Governing Body, which works in close liaison with Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BM&DC) and the Dean, Faculty of Medicine, University of Dhaka. The vision of this College, which the founder members of BMSRI had seen from its inception in 1986 was to put in people's mind to create an institution of medical education including health sciences for self sufficiency in human resources development in health and generating new knowledge through scientific research which have produced some results. Within this time frame, the students of Bangladesh Medical College have achieved University distinctions in Professional MBBS Examination. The postgraduate qualifications accomplished by Bangladesh Medical College students are major diplomas like FCPS, MRCP, MRCS, and M Phil from the country and abroad. All those associated with Bangladesh Medical College and BMSRI deserve my heartfelt gratitude for making their contribution for enabling this institute reach at its present shape.
I would like to welcome the upcoming batch of MBBS students to Bangladesh Medical College and wish them success for their study leading to MBBS degree. I wish you all the best as you embark on your University degree and hope you enjoy your time in this institute.
